I accidentally selected one of the selections from the menu. Now I need to delete the selection, but I can’t get a cursor to show up in the field. How do you delete the data from this drop-down field?
If you want to delete the data from a field with a drop-down menu, do the following:

Click into the field which will activate the drop-down menu.

With the drop-down menu still showing, click outside the field into any white space on the database screen. Do not click into another field.

As seen in the screenshot below, verify that a blue ring is still showing around the field, indicating that the field is still active.

Click the delete button which will remove the data from this field.
